Reception at the airport or bus station. We travel one hour by the Interoceanic Highway.
Lunch at the Florida Baja community , then we ride our mountain bikes and take a dirt road to the Tambopata Trek reserve, where normally we can see monkeys, macaws, butterflies… The route takes 2 hours at soft rate, low difficulty.
Our 4×4 will support us. We arrive to the homestay, place where we can take a shower in the stream to cool off.
We will prepare our own organic cocoa paste. We will participate in a regional cooking class and taste it.
After an organic breakfast, we headed to the reforestation area for planting a native tree in memory of your visit, thus helping our reforestation program. After 45 minutes driving our 4×4, we start a 3 hour hike through the jungle, in a trail that goes deep into the forest, we will see medicinal plants, ancient trees, hear, smell and see mammals, monkeys, and a variety of birds, butterflies and other insects in their natural habitat.
We arrive to our refuge for the night, deep in the forest.
After breakfast we start a 3 hours hike by other trails in search of encounters with the local wildlife until we reach the main trail.
We arrive for lunch a regional dish prepared by a family of the community and we can refresh and relax in a small waterfall. After lunch we return to the city by the same way.

Extra night “HOMESTAY”:
Instead of spending your last night in a hotel without any interest directly in the city of Puerto Maldonado, you can spend your night in a Homestay in our community “Florida Baja”, 47 km away from Puerto Maldonado.
The acommodation is basic but with a lot of confort, bed with moskito net, shower, toilet, electricity, tv, without internet.
This initiative was created with our French humanitarian association “km 47”.
Thanks to our volunteers for their support and to our donors.
