Day 1:
We welcome you to the airport or to the main square of Puerto Maldonado. One hour will be covered on the inter-oceanic road to reach the village of Florida Baja.
We will visit Lake Laberinto by canoe, where it will be possible to observe several species of birds and small mammals, if the weather conditions allow.
We will arrive at Marina and Hilter, a couple of forest ranger, in the middle of the jungle, where we can take a shower in the stream to refresh ourselves.
We will then walk for about an hour on small trails, where we will be able to observe the local fauna and flora.
Finally, we will learn how to prepare a typical regional dish and enjoy it with our hosts.
We will also have the opportunity to prepare our own organic cocoa paste.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we will discover the medicinal plants and thousand-year-old trees and then head to the reforestation area to plant a tree, as a souvenir of your visit and as part of our reforestation program.
After lunch we will need 1 hour in our vehicle to return to Florida Baja.
Includes:
Transportation, lodging (01 night), activities as per itinerary, all meals.
Not included:
Alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, phone calls.
We provide:
Rubber Boots (up to 44).
In case of bad weather, we change the order of activities. The money earned is reinvested in our ecological and social programs.
Extra night “HOMESTAY”:
Instead of spending your last night in a hotel without any interest directly in the city of Puerto Maldonado, you can spend your night in a Homestay in our community “Florida Baja”, 47 km away from Puerto Maldonado.
The acommodation is basic but with a lot of confort, bed with moskito net, shower, toilet, electricity, tv, without internet.
This initiative was created with our French humanitarian association “km 47”.
