We welcome you to the airport or to the main square of Puerto Maldonado. One hour will be covered on the inter-oceanic road to reach the village of Florida Baja.
We will visit Lake Laberinto by canoe, where it will be possible to observe several species of birds and small mammals, if weather conditions allow.
We will arrive at Marina and Hilter, a couple of forest ranger, in the middle of the jungle, where we can take a shower in the stream to refresh ourselves.
We will then walk for about an hour on small trails, where we will be able to observe the local fauna and flora.
Finally, we will learn how to prepare a typical regional dish and enjoy it with our hosts.
We will also have the opportunity to prepare our own organic cocoa paste.
After breakfast, we will discover the medicinal plants and thousand-year-old trees and then head to the reforestation area to plant a tree, as a souvenir of your visit and as part of our reforestation program.
After lunch it will take us 1 hour in our vehicle to reach the edge of an artificial lake where we will continue our trek.
Afterwards, we will hike for two hours in the jungle to the bank of the Tambopata River, where we will sleep in a lodge.
In the evening, we will go in search of the caimans on the river, in a pirogue.
After breakfast, we will cross the Tambopata River by canoe and walk for an hour to the parrot cliff. If the weather conditions allow it, we will be able to observe the different species of Arras that gather to eat clay, offering a fantastic spectacle of sounds and colours.
We will return to the lodge for lunch before starting the two-hour hike to our overnight shelter.
Our refuge is located in the heart of our 650 hectare private reserve. After dark we will start a 20-minute night walk around the refuge.
After breakfast, we will start a 2.5 hour jungle hike on small trails in search of encounters with local wildlife to return to the lake where we can rest and swim.
We will leave for Florida Baja where we will have lunch with a local meal made by a family from the village.
After lunch, we will return to Puerto Maldonado.
